Elizabeth Swanay O’Neal, CG®
Elizabeth Swanay O’Neal, Certified Genealogist®, is a professional researcher, writer, educator, podcaster, and speaker who has been unpuzzling her own family history since 1987. She loves teaching others how to untangle tricky family mysteries using smart research methods, technology, and online tools.
Over the years, Elizabeth has studied at top genealogy education programs like the National Institute for Genealogical Research (now known as GenFed) in Washington, DC; the Forensic Genealogy Institute in Texas; and the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy in Salt Lake City, Utah. She currently serves as Education Director for the Santa Barbara County Genealogical Society, President of the Second Life Virtual Genealogical Society, Director of the NGSQ Study Groups program, and a Genealogy Consultant for the Daughters of the American Revolution.
You may have seen Elizabeth speak at RootsTech, Legacy Family Tree Webinars, FGS, and UGA, just to name a few. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Board for Certification of Genealogists, the Association of Professional Genealogists, and the Genealogical Speakers Guild. She is also a proud member of Toastmasters International.
Elizabeth shares her love of family history on her website, Heart of the Family™, where she helps others make the past part of their present.

Tami Osmer Mize
Tami Osmer Mize has been involved in genealogy education, research, and service since 2000. She has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally and written for Family Tree Magazine, Crossroads, the magazine of the Utah Genealogical Association, and Stirpes, the magazine of the Texas State Genealogical Society.
In 2013, Tami helped charter the first virtual genealogical society, the Second Life Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists (SL-APG), which garnered APG’s Golden Chapter award. She also helped organize the Second Life Virtual Genealogical Society. Both societies meet in the virtual world Second Life.
Tami has found her calling managing Conference Keeper, a free online calendar of genealogy events.
